ton Conn much of his life was spent at Detroit Lakes Minn For many years Mr Converse was In public life Register of-Deeds for 10 years served his district in the state legislature and for 14 years was a deputy United States marshal He was-twice married his second wife being Julia Libby of Hartland who survives him They were mar ried at Detroit Lakes in 1936 Mr and Mrs Converse came to Hartland that fall and since have lived here much of the time in Mrs Converse's old home the Albion Libby homestead A niece and several cousins also survive Services will be Saturday afternoon in the Methodist
