This was our 8th MSC cruise, and based on past experiences, we had rather low expectations for the Magnifica. From someone who has cruised with Royal and Carnival this is by far the most relaxing and fun cruise for it's price point. I would not recommend this cruise to those with kids. The staff was nicely attired and well groomed. Many of the lower position staff (like those involved in assisting with safety drills) did not understand English and couldn’t answer simple questions. To say the least, the service on this cruise ship was horrible. Every bar is a nightmare to get a drink and unorganized. Communication between their own crewmates was horrible with so many workers not knowing where to find things or have correct info often even giving us false information. My wife and I embarked the Magnifica on 5/10. Prior to our trip, I was able to upgrade to the Aurea level with a spacious room, large balcony and access to the Top 16 deck which was private.
