When is Dcyc?
DCYC 2024 will be held on February 16-18, 2024. Registration and Hotel Check-in will begin at 3:30 pm on February 16th.DCYC begins with a General Assembly at 7:45 pm on Friday, February 16.DCYC will conclude with our 10:00 am Closing Liturgy (ending at approximately noon) on Sunday, February 18.A schedule for planning is available in the Group Leader Portal. The closing Sunday Mass is open to families.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
All high school students in grades 9-12 during the 2023-2024 school year are invited to attend. DCYC requires an official chaperone ratio of 1:7. This means that there must be one Safe Environment cleared and trained chaperone, age 21 or above, for every seven youth registered. Safe Environment trained Young Adults, age 18-20, may attend as adult leaders, but do not count toward the chaperone ratios. (Nighttime-only chaperones can register free of charge.) Learn more.
How do i register for dcyc?
DCYC registration takes place entirely online. Group Leaders are designated by each parish, school, or other Catholic youth organization. High School teens should contact their group leader for information on how to register. Group Leaders can contact the DCYC Conference Director at dcycdallas@gmail.com for detailed information on the group registration process. Completing the Group Leader Form identifies you as a group leader and will also get the registration process started.
Where is dcyc being held?
The Conference Hotel for DCYC 2024 is Embassy Suites. The Conference is held atthe Frisco Convention Center.
DO WE HAVE TO STAY OVERNIGHT?
To preserve the conference experience, all attendees stay at the Conference Hotel for the duration of the conference. Hotel lodging is included in the program registration fees. Due to the large number of participants, it is not possible to allow whole groups to leave the conference for any reason. Please contact the Conference Director in advance of DCYC should it be necessary for an individual minor to leave the conference.
HOW ARE HOTEL ROOMS ASSIGNED?
Participants will be assigned to rooms by each Group Leader as part of the Rooming Assignment Process. To fill rooms, parishes may share rooms with other parishes as long as both group leaders are in agreement and the arrangements are communicated in writing to the DCYC Team as part of the Rooming Assignment Process. Rooms are gender specific and age specific: youth are with youth, and adults with adults (except families). A rooming assignment sheet with full instructions are given to group leaders in January.
What about transportation?
Each group chooses their own method of transportation to the Frisco Convention Center. Some groups coordinate transportation, while others require parents to arrange their own teens’ transportation. For charter bus information, please see Section 2 in the Group Leader Portal. Please note that only adults age 21 and over and in compliance with the Diocese of Dallas Vehicle Safety Policy are permitted to drive minors to DCYC. (Group Leaders: Remember the Volunteer Driver Formsare to be completed and kept at the parish).For safety reasons, high school students are not permitted to drive themselves to the conference.
how much does dcyc cost?
A large portion of DCYC is subsidized by the generosity of sponsors and those that give to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal for Catholic Ministries. However, some costs are covered by participant registration fees.
Parents and Teens: Each group sets their own pricing fee based on parish expenses, fundraising projects, etc.See your groups registration form for costs.

Is Financial assistance available?
Scholarships are available for first time attendees and A-Team members. If financial assistance is needed, a Scholarship Application must be completed for each teen requesting assistance. Applications were made available in October 2023 through the Group Leader packet & can be found on the Group Leader Portal. Parents and Teens should contact their Youth Minister/Group Leader for more information. DCYC Scholarship applications must be received by the Office of Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries by December 4, 2023. Please see the Scholarship Application for further details.
IS there a cancellation policy?
Parents and Teens: Each group creates their own cancellation policy for their participants. See your Group’s cancellation policy or ask your Group Leader.

What if my priest wants to help?
By far, this is our favorite answer to give. We always need help from diocesan priests at DCYC, especially with Reconciliation. Have your priest contact the Office of Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries by sending an email to the DCYC Conference Director at jcoffman@cathdal.org or by calling the office at (214) 379-2855. There is no program registration cost for priests, religious, seminarians, or deacons to attend DCYC. (Lodging can be arranged for the fee described in the Group Registration Pricing and Info Sheet).

The DCYC Team provides the following for each registered participant:

All programming (nationally known speakers and musicians plus multiple breakout sessions on a variety of topics relevant to teens)
Saturday “Experience” which features prayer opportunities, service projects, music, fun interactive games and activities, and more

The Dallas Catholic Youth Conference is an opportunity for high school students across the Diocese of Dallas to gather together for one weekend to encounter Jesus. The weekend opportunities for high schoolers to dive deeper into their faith through prayer (Mass, Adoration, Worship, etc), talks from national and local speakers, and experiencing the Catholic community present in Dallas.
All parishes in the Diocese of Dallas are welcomed to register a group for this weekend conference February 16-18, 2024. Registrations include hotel accommodations, resources for pre and post conference, meals during the conference, and all materials needed at the conference.
